One of the three incredibly sought-after colourways from the California-based rock band's partnership with Nike SB is the Grateful Dead x Nike SB Dunk Low "Green Bear." In 2020, Nike SB created a plethora of innovative and unique designs that integrate aspects beyond the sneaker scene, with the trio of Grateful Dead Dunks leading the collection. The upper's two-toned design pays homage to the band's marching bear mascots, who are frequently featured on Grateful Dead album covers and memorabilia, with green faux fur on the toe, mid-panel, and heel. On the insole, the motif resurfaces in a multicoloured design. Overlays of tonal suede adorn the heel, eyelets, and forefoot. A blue Nike embroidery on the heel, a little marching bear and Swoosh logo inside of an insignia on the tongue, and a contrasting blue jagged Swoosh on the mid-panel all serve as branding elements. As a last noteworthy detail, the band's "Steal Your Face" skull is visible in the hidden stash pocket on the inside of the tongue.
